Kondinin Group and ABC Rural were proud to host the inaugural Australian Farmer of the Year Awards during 2010 and are delighted to do it all again during 2011.
With nominations now open for the 2011 Australian Farmer of the Year Awards, farmers from across the nation are encouraged to nominate and share their story to help promote Australian agriculture.
So put modesty aside, share your story and help promote Australia's agricultural industry. You can also nominate someone you think is worthy of acknowledgement for their commitment to and passion for the industry.
“Australian farmers are amongst the most efficient and resilient in the world. The Awards showcase our farmers in all their various forms and raise the profile of the important role they play in Australia's continued prosperity,” Kondinin Group’s Mr Price said.
ABC Rural’s Matt O’Sullivan says the Australian Farmer of the Year Awards are an opportunity to formally recognise the efforts that farmers of all descriptions are making to adapt, evolve and succeed.
“A lot of farmers don’t like to put themselves in the spotlight, but I strongly encourage you to consider nominating yourself, or someone you know, for these awards.”
