National Environmental Grants Guide
The new annual directory for 2011 is now available including environmental grant and funding opportunities from the Australian Government, corporate giving programs as well as the major Australian philanthropic funds and trusts.

Fill-A-Gap

Has your care group planted an area but some seedlings have not survived? 

Do you want to fill the gaps with new plants? The TLCA in partnership with Landcare Australia Ltd and Westpac are making funding available ($150 per group) to buy new plants, stakes and protectors to “fill-a-gap”. 

If your group is a current financial member of the TLCA (2010-
2011), you can apply for Fill-A-Gap funding.

Tasmanian Landcaring Grants (TLG)
'From the Bush to the Beach'
The third round of the TLG opened Saturday 12th February and closes on Tuesday 29th March 2011.

This round features grants (up to $15,000) available for Care Groups (Landcare, Bushcare, Coastcare, “Friends of”
Groups, etc) and Individual Property owners for projects that target the specific Caring for Our Country priorities

The Tasmanian Landcaring Grants are delivered by Tasmanian Landcare Association in partnership with Wildcare Inc., through funding from the Australian Government’s Caring for our Country initiative.



Tasmanian Landcare Fund (TLF)
'Biodiversity - Birds, Bees and Bush'
The Round 13 opened on 12th February 2011. Applications close Tuesday 29th March 2011.

Up to $8,000 is available per project for TLCA member care groups and individual landowners for important biodiversity
work.

Small Grants for Small Rural Communities Program
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 are available for projects/activities offering a benefit for communities living in small rural and remote locations in Australia.

The projects/activities must contribute to the communities development in social and community welfare, economic, environmental, health, education or cultural areas. 

Applications close 31st March 2011.

2011 Landcare Assistance Program (LAP) Grants
The 2011 LAP funds are now available. If your group pays for its own insurance you can apply for $400. If you don’t pay for your own insurance you can apply for $250. Groups must be a TLCA member, and have acquitted previous LAP funding.

Coles Junior Landcare School Garden Grant
Since 2008 Coles has been providing School Garden Grants of up to $1,000 to schools and youth groups to help create gardens in their grounds or community, such as bush tucker gardens, water wise gardens or veggie gardens.

(NOTE: All schools, kindergartens, daycare centers, and youth groups (i.e. Scouts) are eligible to apply for a Junior Landcare grant)




Farm Ready Reimbursement Grants
If you are a primary producer or indigenous land manager you can get reimbursed for approved training courses (completed prior to 30th May 2012) that improve capacity to adapt to climate change and increase self reliance and preparedness.

Australian Green Grants Guide
A one stop guide to Australian environmental and heritage grants with 50 new grants added since last year. It provides specific information about each grant and has indexes which make it quick and easy for applicants to see which grants they are eligible.
